Shuttle Bus Schedule

SHUTTLE BUSSES ARE RUNNING ON CANADA DAY (JULY 1) ONLY!

  • 11am – 9pm: Departure From Heart & Crown Barrhaven
  • 11am – 11pm:  Arrival at Heart & Crown Barrhaven
  • 11am – 9pm: Departure From Your Independent Grocer
  • 11am – 11pm:  Arrival at Your Independent Grocer

Due to limited parking at the event site and road closures in the area, we strongly urge you to avoid the traffic nightmares by taking our shuttle bus from Your Independent Grocer or Barrhaven Heart & Crown right to Mattamy Homes Canada Day in Barrhaven.

In order to have shuttle buses at Mattamy Homes Canada Day in Barrhaven we rely on passengers to make small donation of $2.00 per person for the round trip.

Maximum for family is $5.00 for the round trip.

Please have your donation ready prior to entering the bus

Locations:

  • Your Independent Grocer is located at the corner of Greenbank and Strandherd
  • Heart & Crown is located at the corner of Woodroffe and Strandherd

Please Note: No buses will be leaving Mattamy Homes Canada Day in Barrhaven on July 1st between 9:45pm and the end of the Fireworks

Last bus leaves both the Heart & Crown and McDonough’s Independent Grocer at 9:00pm

NO Parking Zones

If you choose to drive, please respect all permanent and temporary signage in the area or be subject to tickets from the Ottawa Police and/or Bylaw Services.  The following streets will not be available for parking:
  • Borrisokane (from Strandherd and Southward)
  • Strandherd (Jockvale to Kennevale)
  • Tartan (Strandherd to Danaher)
  • Houlahan (Tartan to Danaher)
The following roads will be closed during the fireworks from 9:45pm until all fireworks are complete:
  • Strandherd from Borrisokane to Maravista

Bike Lock-Up

We are pleased to offer a free secured bike lock-up on-site

Accessible Parking

We have very limited accessible parking on site, we strongly urge, if you can walk up the stairs of the bus, that you take the shuttle or you may be out of luck.
 
Only wheelchair users will be allowed in the limited parking spots

OC Transpo

The site is served by OC Transpo route 70, which will be free of charge on Canada Day. Use stops 1230 and 1231 at Tartan and Houlahan.
